The Mount Zion Baptist Church and cemetery is located on Highway 431 by Alexandria, Alabama. It is between Gadsden (US 59) and Anniston (IH20) and near the Georgia border.

Our Abercrombie and Brock ancestors moved to Alexandria, Alabama from Laurens County, South Carolina. Many of them were laid to rest at the Mount Zion Baptist cemetery. We have photos of several of their grave stones at this cemetery. This web page is in honor of our ancestor, Hannah Abercrombie Brock. She was the wife of Elias Brock who died in Laurens District, S.C.
